This listing is for a pre-order item. This item is currently unrestored, awaiting restoration at the retrobay warehouse. By placing this pre-order, you put the restoration of this piece close to the top of the que for us to restore, just for you.

The photos that you see are an example of this item that we have restored and sold previously. The make/model is exactly the same. The colour is the same, bar minor variations due to this items previous life and patina (amount of sunlight and oil over its lifetime) (unless stated here).
Often, customers will ask for photos of the unrestored piece. We generally don’t provide this, as photos of unrestored pieces are generally not that flattering, and can detract from your vision of the restored item.
Our restoration process can often include stripping, sanding, repair, colour matching and refinishing. We generally use a durable hardwax oil on our fully restored pieces. Please note – everything we sell is vintage. Everything looks fantastic and functions correctly, but nothing will be 100% perfect. We repair and restore everything that you would expect, however some ‘character’ and ‘patina’ may remain. For a good gauge on the quality of our restorations, visit our showroom, or have a look through our items online.
The 20% deposit secures this item for you, and we aim to complete pre-orders within 2 weeks. Some more complex restorations and those involving reupholstery may take longer.
On completion, we will send you a series of photos and a video of your pre-ordered piece. If you’re in Sydney, you are welcome to come and see the completed item at our warehouse. Prior to shipping or delivery, we will send you an invoice for the remaining 80%, plus shipping or delivery if applicable.
Our success rate with pre-orders is currently 100%. If in the unlikely event that something catastrophic happens during the restoration process, we will inform you as soon as possible and provide you with a refund.
When you place a pre-order, the team gets to work straight away. If you decide to cancel your pre-order, please note that the deposit is non-refundable.

We offer courier services within Sydney from $100 - $150 depending on your distance from the showroom. We have a Saturday Morning delivery service starting from 8am. Simply input your postcode at checkout. This is a flat fee – the same cost applies for one or multiple items. Delivery will be scheduled for 1 – 7 days post purchase. Please note that for anything other than small items assistance will be required by you (or a friend!) to unload at the destination. Up to 3 flights of stairs included in the price.

  • Regional NSW and Interstate Shipping. 

Shipping to locations outside of Sydney (Central Coast, Blue Mountains, Wollongong and beyond) and Interstate is outsourced to trusted third party couriers. Freight charges are often similar regardless of distance as it is worked out by cubic space in the truck, rather than final destination. Delivery can take between 1 – 3 weeks. 

Wollongong, Canberra, Melbourne, Newcastle and Brisbane/Gold Coast, SA, North QLD, Perth and TAS. courier costs can be automatically calculated via our checkout.  For regional area request a shipping quote via email or phone.

All items are covered under the third-party courier’s insurance.
