A striking set of 1970s Australian Post & Rail patchwork lounge suite by Bassett Furniture Pty. Ltd.

2 x 2 seater lounges selling separately price per lounge. 

A classic example of 1970s Australian design, featuring substantial oiled hardwood frames, sling-style supports and generous button-tufted leather cushioning. The warm cognac leather features a distinctive patchwork stitched design, with a strong Brazilian modernist influence characteristic of the era.

The exposed timber and leather strap detailing gives these lounges their unmistakable Post & Rail look. The original leather presents beautifully with natural patina, colour variation and signs of use consistent with age.

Comfortable, supportive and increasingly hard to find as a matching pair.

We Ship Locally and Interstate Weekly

  • Sydney Shipping

We offer courier services within Sydney from $100 - $150 depending on your distance from the showroom. We have a Saturday morning delivery service. Simply input your postcode at checkout. This is a flat fee – the same cost applies for one or multiple items. Delivery will be scheduled for 1 – 7 days post purchase. Please note that for anything other than small items assistance will be required by you (or a friend!) to unload at the destination. Up to 3 flights of stairs included in the price.

  • Regional NSW and Interstate Shipping. 

Shipping to locations outside of Sydney (Central Coast, Blue Mountains, Wollongong and beyond) and Interstate is outsourced to trusted third party couriers. Freight charges are often similar regardless of distance as it is worked out by cubic space in the truck, rather than final destination. Delivery can take between 1 – 3 weeks. 

Wollongong, Canberra, Melbourne, Newcastle and Brisbane/Gold Coast, Perth, SA, North QLD,  and Tasmania costs can be automatically calculated via our checkout.  For regional areas contact us for a more a quote.

All items are covered under the third-party courier’s insurance.

  • Small Items

Some smaller items may be able to be posted via Australia Post or Pack N Send If this is an option, it will be available for you during check-out.
