An impressive British Mid-Century teak modular wall unit, circa 1970s, made in the United Kingdom.
While the original maker's label is no longer present, the design and construction and materials are consistent with British manufacturers of the period, likely made by Nathan Furniture, Meredew, White & Newton or A. Younger.
This substantial three-bay system features extensive adjustable open shelving, two lower storage cabinets, a central floating desk (fixed height, suitable for someone 165cm tall) with hand carved drawer pulls and an upper glazed cocktail/display cabinet. A beautifully balanced and highly functional design offering storage, display and a workspace in one piece.
Quality construction throughout with substantial team uprights, framed panelled cabinet doors, integrated finger pulls and traditional brass hinges. The modular construction incorporates Häfele Rondofix fittings, allowing the unit to be dismantled into sections for transport.
The piece has been refurbished by our team and finished with Osmo Hardwax Oil, bringing out the warmth and grain of the teak while providing a durable finish. Minor veneer repairs have also been completed by our team. Some minor imperfections and signs of use remain, consistent with the age of the piece. Small marks here and there, one black mark on the underside of the shelf, hidden if shelf is on the lowest setting.
A striking example of British Mid-Century design with strong Scandinavian influence, combining beautiful craftsmanship with exceptional storage and functionality.
