These items are currently unrestored and awaiting work at the Retrobay warehouse. By placing a pre-order, you move this piece to the front of the queue for restoration.
The photos shown are examples of the same make and model we’ve previously restored and sold. Colour will be very similar, with minor variations due to age and patina (unless otherwise stated).
We don’t provide photos of unrestored pieces, as they can be misleading and don’t reflect the final result.
Our restoration process may include stripping, sanding, repairs, colour matching, and refinishing, typically using a durable hardwax oil. All items are vintage—fully functional and beautifully restored, but not 100% perfect. Some character and patina may remain.
A 20% deposit secures your item. Most pre-orders are completed within 2–4 weeks, though complex restorations may take longer. Once finished, we’ll send photos and a video, and Sydney customers are welcome to view the piece in person. The remaining 80% (plus delivery, if applicable) is due before shipping.
Our pre-order success rate is close to 100%. In the unlikely event of an issue during restoration, you’ll be notified and refunded. Please note: deposits are non-refundable once work begins.
Item Description
Classic Australian made piece by Chiswell circa 1970s. Originally a hutch with a bar cabinet, this piece has been elevated on tapered timber legs and repurposed as a versatile storage solution where good-looking shallow storage is required. Presents in great vintage condition. Minor tarnishing to the mirror within the bar cabinet.
