Vintage Walnut Ladderax Modular Freestanding Wall System – Restored

An impressive vintage Ladderax modular wall system in walnut, featuring the classic combination of slim black metal ladder uprights and adjustable timber components.

The system comprises 6 freestanding ladder uprights, approximately 17 adjustable walnut shelves and 5 storage units, including two fold-down cabinets, a sliding-door cabinet, glazed display cabinet with internal shelving, and a three-drawer unit.

The two fold-down cabinets can be used as desks or bar cabinets. Their position can be adjusted up or down the uprights, allowing the working height to be set to suit the user's stature.

One of the defining features of Ladderax is its fully modular design. Shelves and cabinets hook directly onto the ladder uprights and can be repositioned, removed or reconfigured as required. The complete system can be arranged as one substantial wall unit or separated into smaller configurations to suit different spaces and uses.

The walnut components have been carefully restored by our team and present in excellent restored vintage condition. Light imperfections and scratches remain throughout, consistent with age and use. The corners of the enclosed sliding-door cabinet have undergone repairs, which are visible on close inspection.

A substantial and versatile example of mid-century modular design, offering an excellent combination of display shelving, concealed storage, drawers and adjustable workspace.
